Why subscribe?
In a simple statement: subscribe if you are curious about what unique ideas you have to offer.
People don’t always get what they want, but they do get what they need. Hunting for what you uniquely want can give you access to the ideas that we all need.
I am using this platform as “lived” research. The work is based on developing ideation capacity through the human technologies of writing, reading, and communicating. This medium will focus on writing as a human technology to uncover new insights or remember ones that may have been forgotten. The work will explore the use of narrative transportation to increase ideation capacity, uncover strategy, and find direction. You can witness and observe how narrative guides this process. As I write, and you read, (another human technology) we expand our capacity for original thinking and create unique clarity.
This writing is driven by a desire to see what happens when we work to wrap language around the living, breathing, and beating wants of being human. This work is about the practice and participation in the process of discovering individual wants, so we can access ideas that we all need.
This won’t be a direct “how to”. It is more of a seed. A seed that may help you find the will to hunt for what you want. It isn’t about knowing what you want right now, it is the will and courage to find it that provides you with your answers. The story that develops your map exists between the layers of your experiences, actions, and reflections.
About Me
I am Dr. Cassandra Ritzen, Associate Professor of Marketing. This work has driven me to nuanced research to unwrap the interrelationship between discovering your most valuable buyer and navigating your industry ecosystem with greater clarity and direction.
As a teacher, my greatest discoveries and interests over the past seven years have been in the study of learning. Understanding the non-linear nature of learning has led to research and curation of learning experiences that integrate biological, elemental, relational, and sensory perspectives. When seeking deep learning methods it is almost impossible to avoid the mysteries of the unseen aspects of developing active intelligence.
Those unseen and intangible elements have left me hunting for the stories of our past, present, and future to gain a greater perspective of something bigger.
The goal of this writing is to continue to commit to the process of articulating my ideas. This articulation will be used to build a process that can provide access to uncovering the hidden value in new directions, increase flexible thinking, and allow for the space to forge new pathways that ultimately cultivate beginnings. After all, beginnings are the seeds for putting opportunities into motion! Everything requires context and context makes every problem a novelty. No two people experience something in the same way. This work is brought in when we are looking at non-binary problems. It is developed to help hold tension, hold the paradox, as we consider new options. It isn’t work about solving problems, it is work that will help us manage the paradox. For example, the end is always the beginning and the beginning is always the end.
